At Club Sportif MAA, we strive to maximize every one of your visits to the Club. Our premier fitness facility has more than 65 state-of-the-art cardiovascular machines and an array of first-class strength training equipment, all of which is set in a spacious 8,000 sq. feet area, brightly lit by the three historical windows overlooking Peel Street. Our clean and well-designed space creates the perfect ambiance and our trainers are welcoming and motivated.
Our group fitness program is certainly one of the most comprehensive programs in the country. Every week we have over 90 classes that are spread over four magnificent studios, offering you the most popular styles to the classic stand-bys in group classes. The MAA is a forerunner in featuring new and trendy classes, like Jukari Fit to Fly™ and AntiGravity™ Yoga. Every week we offer 15 various dance classes, 12 Jukari Fit to Fly™ classes, 10 AntiGravity™ Yoga classes, 20 Spinning classes and 20 Mind & Body classes, like Yoga, Pilates on mats and Classical Stretch™, as well as 15 cardio and muscle conditioning classes of all kinds. In short, we have classes that fit your every mood and fitness level.
The multisport gym really lives up to our philosophy of being a playground in the heart of the city! In addition to its five badminton courts, you can play basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and practice boxing training as well as ride on a CompuTrainer.
What differentiates fitness at the MAA from other clubs is the quality of service and programs that are offered and above all, the professionalism, expertise and generosity of the staff who work here. Our personal trainers are made up of specialists in several fields, including cardiovascular training for running, triathlons and all principle endurance sports; sport specific muscular strength training; as well as specialists in rehabilitation and weight loss. We have a competent team with a wide range of expertise that can effectively cater to individual needs.
We also offer private and semi-private Pilates on apparatus sessions in our Pilates studio on the third floor of the Club.
With over 300 squash members and 5 courts, our squash programming is recognized across North America. Club Sportif MAA is a provincial training center while also being the home of many of the national team athletes. Our competitive and social programs include different activities for every calibre of players covering a diverse range of skill and age.
Built in 1905, our historical pool is still the oldest of its kind in the country. It has 4 lanes that are 18 meters long. Our aquatics program include, swimming lessons for all ages, aquafit classes, masters swim training and lap swimming.
Many parents have taken advantage of our junior program to come and train or take a class while their children are having fun and learning new skills in sports. With three sessions a year, the junior program offers a variety of gym and pool activities every Saturday morning as well as competitive training in squash and aquatics during the week.
