Ari Papas

“The structured, dynamic, and vigorous nature of Ashtanga yoga empowers students to witness their progress and gradually develop a "meditation in movement”

November 2004 marked the beginning of Ari’s journey with yoga when he stepped into my first class; an experience that was intense, profoundly challenging, and somewhat disheartening. Yet that evening, something indescribable awakened within him, compelling him to return to Ashtanga yoga—a dynamic and vigorous style—time and again. Little did he know that this initial encounter would set him on a transformative path of practice, inquiry, learning, exploration, and self-discovery.

Through the recommendation of a friend and the encouragement of early teachers, Jessie Goldberg and Eugene Poku, he began teaching yoga in a gym setting in 2009 and has been guiding students regularly ever since. His teaching philosophy centers on imparting the traditional elements of Ashtanga yoga, cultivating strength, flexibility, and a profound awareness of the breath..” In his classes, he also incorporates variations of postures and sequences to foster a safe and encouraging environment.
